On Sunday, July 14th, 2019 We Are Not Princesses will screen as part of the Nevertheless Film Festival, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, which seeks to “elevate the work of female-identifying filmmakers, as every film in the program has at least 50% female-identifying filmmakers in leadership positions.”
We will be a part of this web-based competition based out of Nassau, Delaware, which begins June 18th.
On April 27th, we had a wonderful screening at the Boston Independent Film Festival.
One of our main aims with the film is to take it into schools and refugee camps around the world. We had the chance to do that recently at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.
We were honoured to be invited to open the 21st International Ismailia Film Festival in Egypt. Producer/Editor Sara Maamouri went from our team and it was a humbling experience with two well-attended screenings and lots of great questions.
On March 23rd and 24th, 2019, as part of the Arab Film Days festival in Oslo, We Are Not Princesses had two sold-out screenings.
